MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (TSX: MDA), a provider of essential information solutions, announced today that it has been awarded a multi-million dollar contract from DigitalGlobe Inc.
MDA will upgrade a WorldView ground station solution to enable full support for WorldView-2, DigitalGlobe's advanced new remote sensing satellite scheduled to launch in 2009.
Under this contract, MDA will provide a ground system capable of programming, receiving and processing imagery from WorldView-2, and will integrate and install the information solution at the customer's site in early 2009.
